This document forms part of the RHIXO controlled legal framework and applies as described below. It operates together with the RHIXO Customer Agreement, RHIXO Product and Service Schedule, accepted order and other incorporated documents where relevant.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small data files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, SDK identifiers, pixels and comparable mechanisms used to recognise a browser, device, session or preference.
2. Categories we may use
- Strictly necessary - authentication, security, checkout, session integrity and essential functionality.
- Functional - preferences and optional convenience features.
- Analytics/performance - measurement of usage, reliability and product performance.
- Communications/support - preserving support-session or service-message context where applicable.
- Advertising/marketing - only where actually deployed and subject to applicable consent requirements.
3. Consent and controls
Where law or our configuration requires consent, non-essential technologies will not be enabled until the relevant choice is made. Users can update preferences through the configured control. Essential technologies may be required for core functions and cannot always be disabled through our interface.
4. Third-party technologies
Some technologies are provided by third parties such as analytics, payments, authentication, support, video or marketing providers. The current vendor register should identify deployed providers and the relevant purpose. Their own privacy practices may also apply.
5. Retention
Cookie and identifier durations vary by purpose. Session technologies expire when the session ends or shortly after. Persistent technologies remain for the period configured for their purpose unless deleted earlier by the user or browser.
6. Browser and device controls
Most browsers allow users to block or delete cookies. Doing so may prevent authentication, checkout, saved preferences or other features from functioning correctly.
7. Do Not Track and global signals
Where a legally recognised browser privacy signal applies to a deployed technology, we will handle it in accordance with applicable law and our technical capability. We do not claim to honour signals that the deployed system cannot actually process.
8. Changes and contact
This Policy is updated when material cookie practices change. Questions should be lodged by emailing team@rhixo.com.au.
RHIXO-owned surfaces and delivered customer sites
RHIXO-owned marketing and checkout surfaces are configured to minimise cookies and do not currently deploy RHIXO marketing cookies. Separately, RHIXO-delivered customer websites may carry a RHIXO-controlled Google Analytics 4 tag for service-quality, usage and performance measurement. That customer-site analytics is not to be described as absent merely because rhixo.com.au or checkout.rhixo.com.au is cookieless or sessionless. Where consent is required by applicable law, the customer website must present an appropriate consent control before non-essential analytics operates.
